Dear Parents:
In an ongoing effort to provide the best quality education to all students, the Pembroke Pines Schools are conducting the Annual Parent Survey. We ask that you take 5-7 minutes to complete this online survey pertaining to the school’s performance in meeting the educational needs of your child. We value your input and feedback, and results of the survey will help us to identify our strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Be assured that your responses are anonymous.
Please click on the link below to access the survey. If the link does not open the survey, please copy and paste the link into your browser. Before you can begin the survey, you must select the correct school at http://www.advanc-ed.org/survey/public/8077206
You will have until May 18, 2012 to respond to this survey. In appreciation of your efforts, you will be awarded one service hour. (The hour can be applied towards the current or next school year.) To ensure you receive credit, please print the confirmation page at the end of the survey and turn it into your child’s teacher.
Parents are a critical component to the educational process, and our partnership can ensure that the Pembroke Pines-Florida State University Charter Elementary School continues to achieve academic excellence. Thank you in advance for your participation.

The Third Annual Pill Box Pharmacies Pines 5K Pursuit was so much fun it could get a couch potato motivated! Runners, walkers and strollers totaling well over three hundred joined the festivities prior to the race beginning at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, Sunday, April 1, 2012, the last day of the City of Pembroke Pines Annual Pines Day Fair and 52nd Celebration.
“There were no fools at the run, just running fools,” laughed Steven Pressman, owner of the Pill Box Pharmacy and sponsor of Pill Box 5K Pursuit. When asked what he thought about the April 1st April Fools date.
Participants checking in as early as 6:00am enjoyed donuts, bananas, drinks and began jamming to the sounds of Shane LeMar Entertainment. Runners took their mark at 7:30am for the 5K Race and Walk which was timed by Split Second Timing. “We were fortunate to partner with Duke Realty who provided the Shoppes of Pembroke Gardens location,” said Mary Jordan, Development Director for the Pembroke Pines Charter School System. “Their commitment to the community, along with the support of Jason’s Deli, The Cheesecake Factory and Starbucks, made this event the quality event participants expect from the Pembroke Pines Charter Schools and the Pembroke Pines Police Athletic League,” said Mary Jordan. “This is an important fundraiser for the Pembroke Pines Charter School system and the Pembroke Pines PAL Program and we look forward to seeing it grow each year,” said Dan Giustino, Pembroke Pines Police and PAL Board Member.
